Biking with Fredrik Kessiakoff in Monaco
Last week we met up with Silva ambassador Fredrik Kessiakoff in Monaco. We took a short trip to France to get the chance to get a bike ride with him and discuss some new products that are under development. Fredrik has a lot of experience that is valuable for us.

When we arrived in Monaco on the evening we had a great dinner together with Fredrik and his girlfriend Maria. Monaco is a great place and you see some really nice cars there.
The next day when we woke up it was cloudy and when we were just about to go out on our bikes it started raining and the temperature was 13 C! We decided to postpone the ride for one hour and fortunately the raining had stopped by then and it was getting warmer.
We met Fredrik north of Nice and then rode to Nice and climbed a nice but hard climb that is featured in the Paris-Nice race. According to Fredrik it was just a short climb and he was talking continuously all the way up, while we were breathing heavily and could hardly say a word. At the top of the climb we reached a village called La Turbie and there we had some coffee and a sandwich. Fredrik asked us if we wanted to do some more climbs or head back down to Monaco and back to Nice along the coast. We decided it was enough of climbing that day… The view over Monaco when we rode down the mountain was amazing!
Fredrik always has the new small lamp Tyto on his bike as a safety light, both back and front. We saw him using it when we rode thru the tunnels in Monaco. He also uses it when it´s rainy or starting to get dark.

The ride from Monaco to Nice was amazing, and when we separated in Nice Fredrik went for a “real” training ride.
All together it was a really nice trip and training with a pro was great!
