Trail running & safety lights required!

I´m now sitting in our log cabin close to Älvdalen in the middle of nowhere in sweden to celebrate christmas with the family. It´s really nice and cosy here with the fireplace in front of me and it´s quite a lot of snow here actually. Usually it´s more but it´s still more than I thought. Specially coming from Stockholm where its´barely white on the ground.
It´s also as dark as it can be outside our house here. Because there´s no street lights or anything here where our house it´s situated. Which means I´m using my Silva headlight to go get more wood for the fire.

I´v been training a bit more now the last 2 weeks than the past 2 months, which feels really good, because I´v been sick a lot this fall. Both a couple of trail running sessions with my friend Hanko, who also used an X-Trail Plus for our fun little after work adventure in the dark forest outside Åkersberga. We both agreed that it´s super comfortable and you don´t feel the batterypack at all. And the Intelligent light technology that it uses, works really good.

There´s also been some cycling going on. After my all to short vacation on Gran Canaria a few weeks back(got sick during that week – good timing hu?). The plan was to ride a bit more in the sun but I just rode a couple times. C´est la vie!
So since I got back I´v been on my bike a few times between work and other necessary duties. I´v again been riding with my ´ol buddie & Silva Ambassador Fredrik Kessiakoff a couple of times. And since we don´t get much daylight in Sweden at the moment it hard to squeeze in a long training ride(much longer for Freddie than me) during those, let´s say 5 hrs of daylight, specially if you like to stop for a coffie break. The rides usually tend to tak longer than planned... So inevitably we both had to turn on our Tyto white and Tyto Red safety lights to assure that we always are visible on our way home. Should all commutors have on their bikes, front and rear.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
